Inspired by the history of his culture and the students he taught while directing the Mariachi Music Programin Wenatchee, Washington; Juan Manuel Cortez composed and arranged this piece for all the Mexican braceros (farm workers) working in the United States. Here, this powerful music is played by the Mariachi Internacional de Mexico, under the direction of Juan Manuel Cortez at the Northwest Mariachi Festival 2006 in Wenatchee, Washington.
